]]> Section 8 Five Year Plan & Comment Period Open https://a-npdc.org/section-8-five-year-plan-comment-period-open/ Thu, 25 Jan 2018 18:34:20 +0000 http://www.a-npdc.org/?p=4518 The Accomack-Northampton Regional Housing Authority is soliciting comments on its Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program 5-yr Plan.  The Plan outlines the agency’s goals, objectives with regard its Section 8 Program and affordable housing.  Copies of the Plan are available at the offices of the Accomack-Northampton Regional Housing Authority and at Section 8 Plan 2015-2019. This plan was adopted in 2015 and the Authority has not made changes to its goals or objectives in the interim. However, a public hearing to solicit comments will be held in on April 16 2018 at 6 pm. at 23372 Front Street, Accomac, VA.  Please call (757) 787-2800 ext. 119 for additional information or if you need special accommodations in order to view the Plan or attend the public hearing.  Comments may be submitted in writing.  Please send comments to:

]]> Notice of Public Hearing https://a-npdc.org/notice-of-public-hearing/ Fri, 03 Mar 2017 21:16:30 +0000 http://www.a-npdc.org/?p=3982 Northampton County will hold a public hearing on March 14, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Board Chambers, 16404 Courthouse Road, Eastville, Virginia, to solicit public input on local community development and housing needs in relation to Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding for a project in our community.

Information on the amount of funding available, the requirements on benefit to low- and moderate- income persons, eligible activities, and plans to minimize displacement and provide displacement assistance as necessary will be available. Citizens will also be given the opportunity to comment on Northampton County’s past use of CDBG funds. All interested citizens are urged to attend. For additional information, contact John Andrzejewski at 757-678-0440 and extension #550.

Comments and grievances can be submitted in writing to Northampton County, P.O. Box 66, Eastville, VA 23347, or by phone at 757-678-0440 ext # 550, and TDD at Virginia Relay by dialing 7-1-1, until noon of the day of the hearing.
